Prayer Guide
As a parent or mentor, you play a vital role in the life of your student and the path of their decision-making process. We want to help you be someone who encourages your student to make bold choices to follow Christ. This prayer guide will help you pray for and support your student during their decision-making process and Go2 commitment.

QUESTIONS
Go2 is an initiative that challenges graduates and young professionals to commit two years to serving the kingdom of God in a strategic, disciple-making context. This can be in a vocational capacity, like in a ministry residency or on an international missions team, or by serving a church plant while working a marketplace job.
We want your graduate to succeed! Because Go2 is connected with various partners, we believe they will be able to find an opportunity that fits with their spiritual, personal, and professional goals. Some opportunities listed provide more structure and accountability than others. However, they all prioritize biblical Christian community, strategic missional engagement, and spiritual formation. Moving into a new season of life can be difficult, but we believe that God will use this season to mature your graduate and bring them into deeper relationship with Him.
Because of the variety of Go2 opportunities, the safety measures for each will vary. However, each of our partner organizations takes safety seriously. Following Jesus may involve taking risks, even in terms of personal safety, but we want to do all that we can to care for your graduate during their Go2 commitment. We encourage you and your graduate to bring up any safety concerns during the application process.
We say, “Do what you do well for the glory of God, and do it somewhere strategic for the mission of God.” For your graduate, that may be full-time ministry in North America or internationally. Or, your graduate may consider getting a job somewhere strategic that will allow them to join a church planting team. Regardless of what they pursue, the skills your graduate gains through a Go2 commitment will be an asset, not a hindrance, to their careers.
Your graduate’s Go2 commitment may mean that they are building a career and putting down roots somewhere far from home. This can be incredibly difficult, but we encourage you to celebrate the maturity of your graduate and the commitment they have to follow God into difficult situations.
This is a big decision, and we know your graduate appreciates your support! Your graduate will need prayer and wise counsel through the decision-making, application, and moving process. Let them know that you’re praying for them and that you’re available to listen. If they have a prayer or financial support team, consider how you can join with them as a partner in the gospel, not just a parent or mentor. Consider how to care for your graduate by being both honest with your concerns and encouraging them to take big risks for the gospel.
